Cus its forced and not based on skill level or the interest of the interest of the different genders. Its great to not discriminate against gender obv, like employing women in higher status jobs (I forgot the word but uknow what I mean), but it shouldn't be forced. It goes kind of into the stereotypical gender roles, like women want to work with people (healthcare etc) while men might want more physical labour or are more motivated by money, not every man and woman is like that obviously, but I don't think the gap would be this big if it wasn't for men and women having different interests, so there is really no point in forcing it imo. But as I said, its great to (and people should) look past gender obv in hiring etc, but forced equality sometimes becomes like "we need to have a 50/50 divide between men and women as nurses, bosses etc" when it might not be what people want. And as I said w skill level yeah, I want people to hire the most qualified person, not look past that and hire based on gender. Its kind of hard to get the balance right tho because of how stuff is today but u get my point hopefully
I do get ur point yes and I agree that people should hire the most qualified person etc, but sexism is somehow still a thing apparently and without a quota it doesnt rly happen ? so this might be the best solution there is atm
Yeah I agree, thats why its kind of hard. I don't think discrimination is as big in the healthcare sector etc (honestly I don't know but I imagine) as it is in higher paying jobs tho. And with very hard physical labour ofc I imagine women getting more turned away but I think that can be blamed on physical strength a lot. But yeah hmm
