idk why im shocked i dont have a diagnosis when i know i only go to the doctors like every 3rd year and then due to physical issues not mental ones lmfao
wouldnt surprise me if id get a bpd diagnosis if i ever start getting help for my mental health but who knows right. id rather not speculate in it bc i dont think id want to be diagnosed w bpd lllllllol
i mean just look at how people are using bpd to weaponize amber heard

it's such an unfairly stigmatized disorder

unless you're glenn close. fatal attraction was nuts
yes, but by the looks of it, it truly seems like she has untreated or more like a severe case of BPD
I'm saying it as someone that is misdiagnosed with it and had to live with someone who has a severe case of BPD

I just don't like to hear people say shit like "well she has bpd so it makes her exaggerate people's behavior and overdramatize stuff"

like blaming people's shit behavior on mental illness will always rub me the wrong way

especially because it stigmatizes people with the disorder who don't behave like amber heard or whichever bpd villain of the week people are using to vilify all people with the disorder

I have two (scizoid and antisocial personality dirsoder) but I feel like if I didn't lie and if I get a new teat thing which im hoping im greeting soon, I will get narcisisstic personality disorder and bpd too 🤔 at this point they should just diagnose me with kixed personality disorder I guess tho cus everything w my personality do b wrong. Also trying to get tested for adhd so. If I actually have those and don't just think so that adds to like 5 diagnosies all together so I eill say 5 is my max cus I don't want any more

but i agree she hasn't gotten proper treatment and I think that's the real problem, not her alleged bpd

bpd can be properly treated which is nice

yeah it is a really well
saying so excuses her from what she's done because "hurrr she got bpd so it's not her fault" like mental disorders are NOT excuses, and gives the wrong name to ALL people with it... fucking horrible

but yeah she is most likely untreated and yeee

probably depends what diagnosis, but i would say neither, you are just living with it, not in spite of it
I think developmental disorders, such as adhd or autism, are usually a part of the person, whereas something like anxiety or depression is viewed as separate from the self.

It's why pro autism rights and self -advocacy groups dislike first person language. Being autistic is who they are, for better or worse.

It depends on if the diagnosis is ego dystonic or syntonic. I know a hallmark of ocd is that it is considered ego dystonic and a disturbing part of the person's psyche. Ppl I know with ocd live in spite of it.
i know, im autistic with adhd and depression + anxiety lol, so i was speaking from that point of view. and as i said, it probably depends on the diagnosis, but makes sense with the ocd

edit: and as for the "defining who you are" part, i would say you are never defined by a diagnosis, the diagnosis is just a way to describe part of who you are

Exactly, I just don't want people to see me as a nutcase before I've even gotten the chance to prove to them that I am in fact a nutcase
Lmao jk but like yeah. Of course I don't have to tell ppl but still. Idk maybe I should get off my ass and get diagnosed once and for all so I can get some help hhh

I have 3 adhd, bpd and avpd, but I do feel like I actually don't have adhd because no medication has worked for the things they said it would help me with but idk, and I just don't feel like that one got right tbh.

Actually I'm hearing a lot of people blame her decision to file the accusations and write an article about being a domestic violence victim on bpd... and that rubs me the wrong way

Ppl with bpd are not vile... especially if treated (sadly she isnt)

Although I quoted you my response was directed more at lolo

Like idk how to word it but autism for so many people is who they are and they dont know who they'd be without it, which is why the idea of a cure is insulting, its saying who you are is wrong

Yet anxiety, depression, intrusive thoughts? Yeah for most people it's not their identity and they'd gladly get rid of it

Again it boils down to dystonic vs syntoic ego

I know the biggest distinction between ocd and ocpd is dystonic and syntoic. Interestingly ocpd overlaps with autism and anorexia, so
