I don't know if I could choose a best known campy dancer, there were so many. Perhaps Tempest Storm, though some would argue she's not campy, I think she was. The most famous in history are probably Gypsy Rose Lee and Sally Rand.
There's a Burlesque Hall of Fame in Vegas - they became stewards of all of these old burlesque films in 2019
