Oh what about Grimey as he liked to be called

homers enemy is my favorite episode of the simpsons and the iconic ending is literally all the towns people laughing at homer for falling asleep at a funeral lmfao

or the South Park episode Stanley’s cup lol, I hated it as a child but honestly now that I’m older I find it funny… and a kid dies of cancer

I have a dark sense of humor… as long as oppressed people aren’t the butt of the joke idgaf, I don’t find hatred funny

unless the hate is aimed at prejudiced or bigoted people they are my accepted targets let racists be the butt if the joke I don’t mind

I don’t think that’s a very good way to cope with the grief and they’re obvs avoiding the main issue

Thanks for explaining what you mean

if humor helps a person cope with a shitty thing I’m not gonna knock ‘em for it

when my father died at ten joking about it was the last thing I wanted to do and I still never would but people process stuff differently as long as you’re not harming other people who are grieving with you I’m not gonna judge

I never said I’m gonna judge someone for it I just said that they should probably find a healthier way to deal with it/address the issue at hand.

You never explained how it’s unhealthy

and honestly if a person isn’t ready to address it I don’t think it’s unhealthy to wait until they’re ready. I coped for years by pretending my dad was my guardian angel and was contacting me in a spiritual/supernatural sense… I dislike when psychic mediums take advantage of that but that was my decision until I was ready to face he was no longer here. IMO it helped even if I was living a fantasy and not in reality

I make jokes about my dad
maybe uncomfortable if someone can’t relate
but for those who’ve lost a parent too
they get it.
