Depends I guess, if its a girl using he/him pronouns (very unlikely) I guess its ok, if its a biological man identifying as a man, thats offensive lol, and if its a ftm trans person, seems very weird to me, like they don't even respect their own identity. Idk
FTM guys who still identify as lesbians generally have a history with the lesbian community and this still resonate with the label because of their past, so it’s not really about respecting one’s own identity in that case but acknowledging your own history
True, I think everyone can do what they want, but for me I can see it as being seen as offensive to other trans men, or other women indentifying as lesbians. Not everyone will be offended of course but I can see it happening
Yeah I’ve seen a handful of guys in trans spaces be offended but they often tend to change their mind once this is explained to them (from my experience at least) idk as much about lesbian spaces tho obviously

are you trying to turn vp into es/gsm rn

i assume cis lesbians and extremist "feminists" can find it offensive, but i personally don't care

Or if not change their mind at least they’re able to recognize that it’s a more nuanced subject

Yeah im just confused tho, cus if u still identify as a lesbian, and u date other women, u r hetero just to put it like that, but u r also just,,.. hmm.. man dating a woman, esp problematic if a trans man lesbian dates another lesbian woman I guess and not a traight woman, but either way its confusing and I feel some will feel its wrong. But I haven't talked to any of them myself, the only occurence of he/him lesbian I saw, was literally a cis man cus but vibed more with lesbianism or whatever so he called himself a lesbian and at that point its just stupid to me, a trans man is different

Yeah I mean I think this mostly comes down to real life being messier than the labels we create and sometimes things don’t fit perfectly but people are people and someone might not want to break up their relationships etc because of these things or might still want to be involved with certain communities and yadda yadda

n yeah the difference with cis men is they can’t actually have the background ftms who identifies as lesbians so it just doesn’t work (kinda like how a non indigenous person can’t be 2 spirit or whatever bc that was never part of their culture in the first place idk maybe not 1:1 comparison but yeah). That being said though, aparantly there’s a lot of transfemmes who are lesbians who before they figured it out resonated with the lesbian label and that was like part of their trans ✨Journey ✨ or w/e

Pronouns =/= gender, anyone can use any pronouns, regardless of gender or sexuality ^^

If you don't identify as a man then you aren't a man, pronouns don't determine your gender, simple as that.

So I don't see anything wrong with he/him lesbians, as long as they don't identify as men, bc men can't be lesbians, otherwise they'd just be straight or bisexual

So you don't need to be trans in order to use pronouns that are different from what's on your birth certificate?
(let's say a biological girl, identifies as a girl but uses he/him pronouns)?

Just want to make sure I'm understanding your point correctly
yes. anyone can use any pronouns that they resonate with, including common ones and neos.

even though i have no experience with a man who identifies as a lesbian, i wouldnt try to argue someone over their own experience and their identity. identities are not something you get to have an opinnion on. identities just exist and if you get offended by some, you should probably reflect on your own insacurities or image that needs some work.

a man identifying as a lesbian completely defeats the point of being a lesbian, I'm not offended by how someone identifies, it's none of my business and doesn't involve at all. I understand some trans men resonate with the label due to their history, however they aren't lesbians and shouldn't call themselves lesbians when they arent

You don’t find it gross when cis men call themselves lesbians? It’s usually objectifying dude bros who do it from what I’ve seen

cis/non-binary women or trans man who identified as lesbians and were apart of the community before transitioning? That’s fine
