ooh hi devil
you're right!
are u writing on something
I’m just starting plotting, but I finally feel inspired to write for the first time in over a year so I’m very excited about it

how are your projects going?
yay! i love the early stages of writing. i've been in first draft limbo for a while now but it's not too many words left for my draft goal... just 20k... middlepart.... rip me
Haha yeah I usually don’t get past the early stages but this time I don’t have a bunch of other writing projects so I’m hopeful I’ll keep going even when the initial excitement is down…

aaah I believe in you!! Almost bein done with a draft is so impressive to me, if you’ve gotten that farm I’m sure you’ll get it done with some time!!

you got this! having an outline helps me so much when the passion wane bc i don't have to rely on it to know what happens, i can just type.

thanks!! i have been writing quite sporidically since january since i burn out so fast and i currently am having a break but i hope to get closer to finishing soon. the middlepart is going to be the worst one. i have scenes there. i have the start, midpoint and the ending drafted, but filling in the growth between those places and keeping it thematical is going to be difficult.

oooh yes tying things together does sound like a challange, espec if youve got all the like juicy interesting big points TM done already > -

idk which plot structure you're using but save the cat! is a lifesaver for the hero's journey. recommend reading the book "creating character arcs" by k. m. weiland for more guidance.

so like i have ideas, it's just about flashing them out and me being confident in them. i probably need a tad more research to get there. i am not exactly the "first option, best option" person.

same and thanks. generally things are better than when we last spoke. I did move out of my fathers house and i'm so glad to be out of there because everytime i go back a few hours for a visit i feel awful and someone are always mad by default. and people aren't mad at me where i live now and i has improved my mental health A LOT.  but moving out did ofc mean i lost most of the last year with my bunny before he passed last september which was a bummer, but it was worth it for myself even if i hate to admit that.

haha, it's nice i've chatted enough about something for it to stay here :p my vp era feels so long ago somehow but still i see all your names and i'm like "all my friends are here still, wonder what they're doing." i'm still just a click away for any "advice." i did read like 7 books on writing last year so at least i got some to support me now

somehow i never found a good one on the structure of tragedies... so if you come across that, hmu

sometimes i cave. i caved gsm last night too so i figured i might as well see how you are doing as well because gsm is honestly as dead as this place, they just make money off the shops.

here are some usefuls
blog.reedsy.com/guide/story-structure/save-the-cat-beat-sheet/

and typ what the weiland book does is go IN DEPTH about all the turns and parts of a story and tie the plot to the character arc. i found it rly to be the only book i needed to read to just have this all explained for the story i'm doing since it is a basic coming-of-age hero's journey
