no that doesn't explain why because most norweigan people don't have british accents but they are still being taught that at school. norweigans talking in english with a norweigan accent sounds closer to "american" accents then they do brittish accent
okay two points
1) american tv. american films. we are constantly hearing american english. so thats how we learn to speak
on our own.
2) we're taught british english words, but the way of speaking depends on the teacher's accent, which can differ
i asked this question earlier but everyone ignored it, but if everyone around you have the same accent why stand out and put on a british accent? most don't talk that way. there is no need to sound brittish if you're not
