I can just tell this. Racism existed before that tragedy. So no, it is not one-event reason. It is deeper than that. And yes, many have pointed out attitude, but the thing is, yes you can make yourself less racist with the right attitude, but the origin of racism is much deeper than that. It is something subconsious, badly enough, and my guess is that it is actually evolutionary or a simple mis-match programming, like something perception-based. (Perception-based as like when the brain calculate its environment to its simplest degree, so not only for evolutional reasons .. perhaps)
