body positivity, aka loving your body, is good. that's great, but trying to preach it like you actually try to love yourself for who you are is hypocritical
maybe I'm bad at arguing in English bc it's not my first language? I already explained before
And who cares if they're hypocritical? You're still not addressing their point, and why are you judging individuals and not the structures that cause them?
bc it's obvious where does trends come from? and who gets benefited by ppls insecurities and these trends?
ppl who will still talk about self loving while they damn well know that they hate their body, because you know if you hate or not your body (it isn't rocket science), is wrong and stupid
Um trends can come from many different things and they arent always intended to be capitalized. Punk was a trend and despite sell outs and corporations trying to capitalize on it, the movement was meant to be anti-establishment. I dont disagree that trends that cause harm should be capitalized or promoted. Where we disagree is that trends themselves are inherently bad. It's not that black and white.
