it’s a sexual minority so yes
so are kinksters and poly people.

pride was a riot and is a protest first and foremost. specifically for safety and equality for people who's sexuality and gender has systemically been oppressed. no one is denying ace people rights, no one is bashing them on the street, there's no such thing as ace panic.
sure an asexual person's relationship dynamic will be different but that's not a systemic issue it's a personal one. there's no material evidence of legitimate ~aphobia~.

and like.... i'm saying this not as someone who just doesn't understand but as someone who id'd as ace for multiple years and thought that ace people did belong in the lgbt community.
they may not face the same problems when it comes to rights BUT they still face discrimination and lack of information. There are for example a lack of sexual education covering asexuality and a lot of people grow up thinking they are “wrong”. Who r u to say their not discriminated against enough to be a part of this riot?

Melk literally just told u you're just too blind by your close minded hatred to see anyone else points. How about stop gate keeping sexuality on the internet and actually do something productive for the community

lack of visibility isn't discrimination though, and i've already said but ace people have aven. some things don't need to be lumped together, it's like that comic strip where people are running in a breast cancer awareness marathon and someone comes up and goes "what about all cancers?"

in fact i think it's worse to have them together because resources get spread thin and it's harder to be specific. an anecdotal but legitimate example of this is a local "queer" resource community for youth in my city that's been around forever has absolutely no resources for lesbians (anymore, they used to). none. and like.... LOTS for ace people.

i'm not even saying ace people are "invalid" which is such a fucking buzzword i'm just saying our experiences are not the same and i don't want the posibility of cishet people (inb4 someone says u can't be ace and het) in lgbt spaces. i've had cishet aces tell me they feel uncomfortable with seeing pda at pride parades, like MULTIPLE people, i've seen cishet aces be extremely lesbophobic and homophobic. literally earlier in this thread ouch said white cis gay men don't experience oppression anymore which is obviously not true.

lmao ppls kink does participate in pride tho so idk why u would mention that as if it's not apart of it
but cishet kinksters aren't lgbt on the basis of being kinksters, and leather culture is connected to the gay community in a way that just being a kinky cishet is not.

also i've never actually seen someone practicing kink at pride and i've been going since i was a literal baby. like i've seen leather daddies and twinks in gold briefs but never like a dude on a leash or someone being whiped or like a freaking bondage float lmfao but that would be kinda cool ngl.
pride used to have so much personality now like u said it's Target Chic everywhere you look.
