I actually wondered this myself.

He kind of had autistic like mannerisms and he also had an autistic brother, so. 

I was really torn between thinking he was just not very bright and wondering if he had borderline to mild developmental disabilities.
tbh autism is such a wide spectrum you can be autistic but so that it's barely even noticeable also
but don't take this too seriously i've never met the guy so i wouldn't really know

my ex who had diagnosed autism refused to even google what autism was so he never got "better" in a way to control the way he reacted or acted
but if i ever tell him "autistic people can actually get stressed out more easily" he would use it as an excuse to act like an asshole "but im stressed you know im autistic!!"
so idk he was exhausting
theres no reason im telling this i just like to shit on my ex when i get the chance lmao

He liked to use audio books. To get through The Great Gatsby he listened to it on tape. He loved it when I read to him because apparently it was hard for him to concentrate on reading a lot of sentences at a time and ngl I had to quit because it was kind of creepy. I'm not ur mom dude. Of course I was too nice to say that. I just... kind of stopped tbh lol. When he asked me why I didn't do it anymore I changed the topic. 

HE SERIOUSLY WANTED ME TO READ HIM BED TIME STORIES LOL. HE WAS LIKE 22 AT THE TIME.

also just to clarify he could read; it just took him longer to concentrate than average and he viewed it as a chore. it was sad tbh.
