-30 means inside temp is normal and all you have to do is put on more clothes/blankets if you're cold
+30 means it's sweltering inside and outside, you're sweating all day long and getting dehydrated, can't sleep cuz it's too hot and there's no way to cool down cuz it's still hot even if you're naked

i've been outside in -35 C wearing stockings, a dress + cardigan and a non padded jacket. it was cold sure but i didn't die
