Not really.. because people like to see themselves as a lot better than they really are. female predators gets much lower sentences than men do for the same crimes (same backgrounds)... this is something that is happening TODAY and its very ignorant to say that "oh that was years ago. it doesn't happen anymore..." when it TOTALLY does!

I know this isn't an indication of real life but it does carry significance in culture, I see this shit all the time in tv shows, if a man doesn't want to sleep with someone she will immediately go "did I do something wring, am I not beautiful, are you gay, blah blah blah" which is absolute bullshit.
