what does that have to do with anything? you are clearly victim blaming here. that's like telling a girl who has been raped that "you chose to wear those clothes.. you chose to go outside at night by yourself..." that does NOT excuse rape! just because he had a gun , that is not an excuse for the mob to attack him like that.

I don't really think him running away from other aggressive people is a planned thing lol
That's usually just something you do when you get scared. Which he very clearly was. He probably didn't want to get hurt himself. Doesn't mean that his thoughts and actions are right though. 

I'm very against the us gun laws, so this whole situation is just baffling to me. Thank god I live in Europe.

WOAH I would not say that about a rape victim ( for your information i had a friend who was raped so i never would) but the guy did go with a gun which he planned to use otherwise he wouldn't haven taken it with him!

Even if it WAS on purpose, why is that such a bad thing? Shouldn't he be able to do that and not get mobbed? Ofc as I stated before, I'm a bit unsure whether or not he shot someone before he fell or if it was when he was on the ground. I have to look a bit more into it.

how do you know that? self defenders carry guns to AVOID causing as much harm as possible. they carry them to protect themselves and others. they don't go through the effort of getting them to "shoot them first opportunity that comes along" .. these stereotypes are so harmful

he was protecting property from being destroyed. but even if he went there for no reason other than just going on a walk.... what gives people the right to attack him? do you think the mob were in the right to attack an armed man like that? you are only putting blame on him for carrying but you haven't said anything about his attackers.
