Also what's the take on plastic surgeries conducted because of gender dysphoria, or is this covered by the alleged "mental illness" part allegedly?

n then teens who follow influencers, who may have a similar body or physical characteristics in general will believe that, if the influencer they follow changes something about themselves with plastic surgery, is probably because its ugly and a flaw n should be changed
n then we ask ourselves why do we have kids obsessed with being "beautiful"

conditioning is a very very very powerful thing . i do get where ur coming from tho. sometimes i feel a bit hypocritical when i talk abt how every1 is beautiful without make-up n how the make-up industry is toxic etc etc.......nd then proceed to constantly wear loads of make-up every single day

but like. shit is complicated u know and u can be aware that something is 'wrong' or a societal standard that shouldnt exist and still give into it and b controlled by it to a certain extent. we r just human after all and like i said. conditioning is a powerful thing bro

regardless of what i think about the body positivity movement, i think it's really unfair that certain people get no say in it because they made some decisions others may not approve of
you can not preach about something you do not follow yourself
is like if i tried to preach about veganism while im a meat-eater
this is honestly dangerous and judgmental thinking. before i turned vegetarian i preached vegetarianism.
you can follow the belief of body positivity but still make changes to your appearance. it's like saying you cant use makeup for the cosmetics either

there are also many people who did make drastic changes to their appearance that deeply regret it. do they not get to preach body positivity? because of some dumb decisions they made when they were younger? cause i personally think their opinions on the matter of body positivity is very important cause they know what its like to want something else and actually do something about, something most of us can only dream of

Feel ya, I get the point when they mean all well and want people to accept their body. But still feels somewhat hypocritical when they alter their looks with surgery etc.

Idc what ppl do with their looks. Only wish ppl don't undergo plastic surgery to feel better abt themselves esp if they're insercure - that's rather unfortunate solution to ease their distress with their own appereance.

By not stating your opinion I think you make your opinion on it clearer than what you would like but by all means, each to their own although it's allegedly not something I agree with.

Thats a point too, u can think u urself look flawed without makeup or if u r fat or whatever, while having no problem with it in others so u still want them to feel comfortable in their own body

still, you can not preach about something you dont follow. its hypocritical, imo

n its totally different to preach about body positivity and talk abt something you regret, in this case plastic surgeries and encouraging others to love themselves for who they are, than someone who is constantly (?) getting plastic surgeries

Isnt everybody hypocrites at the end of the day, one way or another
hypocrisy  shouldn't always be demonized, regardless of situation
