you can follow the belief of body positivity but still make changes to your appearance. it's like saying you cant use makeup for the cosmetics either
there are also many people who did make drastic changes to their appearance that deeply regret it. do they not get to preach body positivity? because of some dumb decisions they made when they were younger? cause i personally think their opinions on the matter of body positivity is very important cause they know what its like to want something else and actually do something about, something most of us can only dream of
still, you can not preach about something you dont follow. its hypocritical, imo
