i'm upset that europeans are making fun of particular political developments in the US that have really severe consequences for americans, without thinking at all about those consequences. i think u can make fun of america and americans, no problem. i just think that doing it re: things like the upcoming election, covid, and other issues where actual human lives are implicated, is rly insensitive and upsetting

it’s nothing new and it’s the same with north korea, china etc very controlled and not so good places. americans laugh and look down on those countries too just like many europeans on america. i do agree that making fun of horrible things like the immigration camps and school shootings and the whole corona hoax shit you’ve got going on is insensitive, but after a certain point, it’s like being angry about it for the people’s sake is useless. but i guarantee the majority does not think the deaths and terror is funny, but rather the circumstances that created it. because most of it was preventable, and that’s why we laugh.

like america is a farce ? yes lmao i know. i'm watching b4 my very eyes as the country seems to b fucking dissolving. but that still does not make it ok to laugh at tragedy bc it occurs in america, especially bc it's almost always as a means to make oneself feel better abt ur own country, i.e. europeans feeling damn good abt themselves bc god, america is such a mess cant believe so many ppl are dying, so glad we're better than all of them
