Interesting! I'm genuinely curious because I can't relate to this! Don't social constructs confuse neurotypicals?
too vague do u have a more specific example?
Family, childhood, gender, money etc.
my good person, we live in a society and those 'made up things' are social constructs upon which our society relies at its current point, while the thing may not be 'real' (whatever this may mean in this context, the consequences of these things for people living in said society are very much

Lowkey think you’re a troll tbh lmao
I kow this is going to come off as I'm trying to be insulting or something which isn't the case but if this person is autistic then it explains a lot though
i'm autistic and love my autistic traits so for me that's a compliment. I really am curious about the question i asked but after thinking more about this subject i started thinking of social constructs in inhuman animals so i guess they're the norm and this topic will be much harder to understand than I thought. However now i'm confused because humans often separate themselves from inhuman animals but neurotypical behavior is similar to the behavior of inhuman animals so i wonder why do we often see ourselves as something different from other animals?

And no I'm not a troll, you just have bad intuition in social situations (the latter sentence is a joke)

autism cannot be a troll bc in that case it would be an actual crime to not give me the username

what about social constructs confuse you? also, you adhere to them just as much as neurotypicals. a social construct is not the same as a social rule or a situation.

Unfortunately yes. I'd love it if humans were more like certain inhuman animals though. Society would be a better place if women ate men's heads during sex.

Aren't social rules social constructions? At least for me it's not just that I don't understand social rules but really any social constructs are quite confusing to me. Also other stuff that seems arbitrary, like how pluto wasn't a planet for a while or how neanderthals and homo sapiens are different species. Very confusing. I'd love to know how people feel that they are certain gender or why they don't just accept new info and change their views if the views they have are clearly based on false information. Or how they care so much about idk mr potato head now being just potato head. They're literally a potato
