if ur talkign about that one website i kept thinking of, i think it's really how the ppl on there grew up on the internet, seeing fake stories and ppl who mocked those stories and "people" on them and the trend of "owning the bigots" (that has kinda turned into cancel and callout culture) and everything being very black or white and you're either 100% for something or against it, throw in cringe culture and actual sociopolitical issues and youve got a whole mess of tweens who have no sense of what's real and absolutely zero critical thinking.

and then you dump all those children on an insular platform with no one to tell them what to do

i fell into that cringe culture "haha stupid sjws" trap when i was like 13 but then i started using my brain, cant say the same for everyone unfortunately
