I highkey disagree. When you're talking about a problem that a certain population is perpetrating I think it's counterproductive and silly to alienate members of said population, especially if the problem isn't inherent to the population, ya know?
I dont actaully understand but I think it comes down to opinions like Ive never been upset at people generalizing and saying they hate americans, white people, etc cause its like whatever if its something that doesnt actaully involve me. if hearing all men are blank upsets you maybe look into and see why it upsets you and what is actually the root to what hurts you in that statement
I think it's because I'm trans and I worked (and still work) hard to be acknowledged as myself so it's something I do take a lot of pride in, but even if I wasn't I still don't think it's fair to say that because someone is hurt by this generalisation of something quite core to a lot of people's identity and self worth (as silly as that may be) that they're the ones that need to look inwards, or, like you're heavily implying, that there is something wrong with them for it.
