i mostly take people seriously unless they indicate clearly that they are joking. i can't read sarcasm and i misunderstand ppl's intentions. i generally write in /neu unless i indicate it otherwise or add emojis. i try to assume everyone writes in /neu also but i have also seen ppl here mock indicators so it gives me mixed signals. i have SAD (social anxiety disorder) so sometimes my mind twists ppl's written words into worst thing imaginable but i try to ignore the voices in my head
I stopped using emojis here
because I was told it’s passive aggressive

yeah emojis can absolutely be read as passive aggressive depending on how u word urself, as well as the topic u r handling at the given moment. default crying and smiling emojis (as well as the written out variants) i've noted are super often used in passive aggressive manner in conjunction with sarcasm, so when ppl use them next to words like "thank you" or "i'm sorry", i have trouble reading if they are being genuine or not. i avoid using them myself bc of that
Whenever I use emojis
