Actually as I'm writing a paper on stress placement I actually think I know the answer know, the native pattern of Norwegian is argued to be stress placement on the penultimate (second to last) syllable for some ungodly reason which does not apply in Trøndelag at all, while the stress pattern for compounds such as kullsyre is placement on the heavy syllable of the first word of the compound, as kull is the first word and only has one syllable, the placement of the stress should following the compound stress pattern be stress on kull, while the general pattern of native words prefer placement on the sy-syllable.
