well that just sounds like dyslexia and/or adhd and i wouldnt call people with those challenged

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was ten. Considering ritalin made me restless, impulsive, hyperactive, an insomniac and gave me nightmares I think I was misdiagnosed. Caffeine also makes me prone to panic attacks if I over-due it.

yeah challenged might be the wrong word; adhd and dyslexia are considered learning disabilities but there's a difference between learning disabilities and mild intellectual disability (>70 IQ.) I do not think he had the latter. I think he may of had some issues though. Yet so do I. If he wanted to mock me for my insanity it serves me right haha. (:

It's very likely you were misdiagnosed so you're probably right to think that.
I have ADHD myself and I just have an easier time concentrating and focusing on things when I take my meds.
That's why when I read your little story on his reading issues I started to suspect his case was ADHD.
It's hard for people with ADHD to focus on long text usually. I have that problem, but for me it's only with school textbooks.
