it is specifically targeting fast food, the issue here is that healthier food options are usually more expensive and aren't included in bogof deals, some families don't have much choice in this. They need to educate people on healthier foods, and I'm not just talking about the food pyramid but also how to prep healthier meals and make em tasty. Then they also need healthier foods more accessible, is there any healthy food take away places? Usually not, so what about the hard working families that don't have the time or energy to make food every day? Or students who want a cheap treat for rewarding their hard work? A lot of issues go into this and yes there is food waste but there are also families that heavily rely on deals to feed their family.
