it's just a theory, but I feel like this has more deep rooted reasons

because people nowadays still believe, that natural body hair means uncleanliness and no self-care
so if we see the full frontal nude of an actress from such a time with body hair, we don't go into thinking: oh she must have stopped shaving for this, she had to let "herself go dirty", but we can be like: well she has fake hair there, so it's all good, she still is clean and healthy
like I said, just a theory, but seeing how the world works ... wouldn't be surprised if that'd be one of the reasons

The best thing NRK has done is when they were like "ah shit our viking show should be in English too so it's more accessible" they had the same actors play the scenes in both Norwegian and in English, and they had very thick Norwegian accents on the English.

idk if you watched Anne with an E, but this series actually depicts everything quite well, esp the 2nd season with the black slums and how ppl behaved towards black ppl - so even tho the story didnt primarily revolve around historical events, they still managed to not make it seem like everyone was equal and everyone was happy yk
