well, we might be the same generation as them, we might not be, at this point it's too early to say and by the time it will be able to be determinated, they won't be 8 anymore. the reason many think it weird is because they see an age difference, they see that some are adults and others still children and then immediately make the decision that they are way more mature than those that are now aged 8 can ever be. it's all a matter of perspective
True, I'm also just thinking of all the different things I was able to experience in one way or another that is now taught to young gen z that weren't alive for it.
But it's definitely not specific to one country when it comes to it either.

yeah, well, but in that case you could go as far as to say that there's a new "generation" every single year, heck even every single months. but that's not truly how generations work
True, but many places u also talk less abt generations (except like baby boomers, stuff like that) n more just, refferr to them as the name they were born ? Does that even make sense. At least in younger ppl. This sounds irrelevant I don't remember the point I was trynna make rn

Tide pods were a meme n then some stupid folks actually did it lol, not many tho. Its funny every time I see ppl talking abt it cus like.. it was rlly not a problem
lol right?
it's a convenient thing to put down a whole generation.
no need to feed into it and make it worse.
Sounds a whole lot like that "not like other girls" bullshit.

well to be fair, every generation was fucking stupid during their teenage years (and sometimes even beyond)
the only main issue is that 50 years ago, there was no internet, so no one saw how utterly fucked up you were and people certainly don't go boasting about their stupidtiy after they've outgrown it

I lost you. Gen Z is basically the same as baby boomers, just another birth bracket. What other generation name do you mean? like just going year 1996 for all those born in 1996?

Yeah thats basically the point I was making in my first post lol.
Dumb shit is literally part of being young.
in the 50s teenagers would see how many bodies they could stuff into telephone booths.
dumbassery is not new, its just better documented now lol

well it was, it was the usual problem called idiotic braindead people and thanks to the tide pod meme, the problem took care of itself
(ok, I don't know if it really did, because I don't know if anyone died of it, but if they did, it sure sounds like a runner up for the annual Darwin awards)
2020 in it's entirety was Darwinism at it's finest.
- Someone died taking fish medicine thinking it'd prevent them from getting covid.
- The refusal to wear masks (So many Karens).
- Pretty sure some people believed Trump when he said to consume cleaning products.
There's probably plenty more reasons than this too.

"most woke generation" my ass.

i really can feel a difference between me and my sister, she's 4-5 years younger than me and i have to stop myself from being mad constantly.
elaborate bc im genuinely curious to understand the statement
honestly???
her behavior, attitude and complete lack of respect for everything and anything, pisses me off. like i'm not just being a big sis rn, but no fucking wonder grooming online, plastic surgery & technological illiteracy is on the rise.

i'm grateful for having grown up ten years ago. at least i could be a lil ugly weirdo in relatively peace instead of being cult-like pressured to have a firm identity before i hit double digits on social media and irl in trending group settings.

basically, i'm bitter, salty & worried (w a great dash of anger), especially since no matter what i say to her, i have to coddle her, just to get the bare minium across to her, why things are bad and why some things are the way they are.

Yeah I mean like if I were to like, talk abt someone, I would just say the name they were born in ? Not rlly for old ppl (I would just say they r old lmfao) but like younger ppl (like, after 92-93 mby) I would just refer to them as the last two digits of the year they were born in, so I would b 02, my sister would b 04, but I feel like its almost the same as yearly generations, cus ppl hate on the other years like they would generations in lets say america (??)

ohhhhhh
like 90s kids, naughties-kids and such
but even there is a very heated debate over who gets to call themselves 90s kids for example
some say you can't be a 90s kid if you're born in 98, because you weren't really a kid (but a baby/toddler) during the 90s
people just look for reasons to make younger people feel like crap for being younger? is that ageism but reversed?

might be just her as a human being though
like, not everyone's your sister, despite them maybe being the same age as her

let's be real, every fricking year is darwinism at it's finest, because there's always a new thing you can mess your life up with - and that of others

might might
but considering it's the same behavioral pattern i see across her friend group, other zoomers irl an online, i'm inclined to take this at face value and announce myself a hag.
