I never get into a conversation with the intention of changing anyone like that. I talk to people simply because I want to talk with them. Of course I want to encourage MY values but I don't see any point in talking to anyone in general if my end goal is only to change them. If that was my goal, I wouldn't have a lot of people left to talk to. I will talk to anyone who is willing to talk to me and I see great value in talking to people regardless of who or what they are.
