non-Americans
Alam
World Famous

This is not remotely the worst part of this thread, not even the most interesting, but I find the fact that people here say non-American and proceed to talk only about Europe really funny.

Where did you get the perception that the usage in European countries isn't a big deal?

It's not really acceptable anymore
I think there is a new wave of n-word users within the younger generation. I think it's mostly the zoomers, younger millennials and then we have the older generation, of course. There is not as much in-between in my experience.
Uh no?

Do you WANT to say it so badly or what is this about

Just from talking to people in general.
To be totally fair, a lot of people from the US I talk to too use that word but obviously it's considered to be more offensive from an American perspective.

If you are talking from someone from Europe, sounds like those people are trying to excuse them self for using the word.

What do you mean no? You can't say that my experience is incorrect. You might have an entirely different perspective on this and that's fine but that doesn't mean what I've seen with my own two eyes is automatically wrong.

Possibly. People use that word for all sorts of reasons...

To purposefully be offensive. To be a contrarian. Free-speech advocate. Old-habits. The list goes on.

I wouldn't say that. I just tend to be more open-minded than most people.
As long as it's not hurting me (or anyone I care about) it's all good.

idk if u genuinely find this interesting (which i don't understand why u do if u do) or if u r just trolling but here's an infodump ig

idk the detailed history of the usage of that specific word in my country (as in why it came to b part of our terminology). i only know that it was considered linguistically acceptable until some point in my childhood when it was banned, and there were several brands that needed to revise and reword their products, including translations of books n stuff

it's considered far worse than the other slurs that my forefathers so """kindly""" came up with, and not used anywhere near as much. mostly old ppl use it, reflecting the brutal fact that is used to b an "okay to use" word. thankfully enough haven't heard younger gens use it besides the few select rotten apples
