The supervisor took some clothes over to the group home to donate to the workers

And a male resident decided he wanted one of her dresses. Hes been wearing it every night since wedensday. Guess this is the first dress hes ever wanted to wear since living there.

I also showed him this song cuz hes obsessed with birthday parties (we blow balloons and put up streamers for him):

Hes probably dying. So you know I wanna give him his best life and everything.

Well, I graduated last month with a bachelor in social work and now I'm currently looking for a job. It's nice to have some "time off" but I just want to work.

What products and/or companies do you represent for clients?

I can handle dumb customers. Mean customers however? I cannot. I worked in a call center that served outbound credit card calls for a bank. I had a mini panic attack... not even joking, my chest hurt so bad during a call once... Idk how i even made it through the call! The lady was incredibly pissed so I was terrified. Afterwards she complimented my supervisor on my "excellent customer service." LOL WTF

I ended up getting fired. I couldn't handle it. Lol

If I were you I'd be asking everyone I know if they'd be interested in your position, and if they know someone else who may be. Help em find a replacement before you bounce. It would benefit both you and your employer.

Or, you know, fuck capitalism and just leave. Whatever you prefer. References are nice tho, that's how employers entice you to stay lol
none, as long as the law that protects customer rights is relevant, i give guidance in what their legal rights/options are in said situation

lol fuck those people. i had an idiot today that was just mad that i gave her help but didn't read her mind on what her issue was about. a huge dumbass with a huge attitude. i just get sad that such dumb, ignorant ppl exist

i can find a replacement pretty easily i think, atleast i know one who would love to work there next summer. but that's a good advice actually, i will look into it when (if) i decide!! thanks

ahaha yeah i only took this job for the reference actually. i later on realised i would be broke if i didn't so it was good in that way too but yeah XD
Ah ok. My role was more specific. I answered outbound calls for credit cards, so I dealt with fees, interest rates, ect. I hated it and only lasted 3 months. I got fired for poor performance. Too much anxiety lol. I couldn't imagine providing legal aide to angry people, fuck that.

Consider sticking it out til summer then, but if you get so burned out its affecting your health or performance, look elsewhere. It's good you're working on finding a replacement, that will help you get the good reference you need
yeah tbh i'm surprised i've survived this far throughout the job. i thought i liked working with people but i'm not sure anymore qiodjwqduqwoi. but it's probably the customer service-ish part of it that just sucks too bad

yeah i will have to think about it, and see if i can start working without exhausting myself, i guess that would be the third option ha

I'm currently doing an internship at a business with summer clothing, mainly caftans and swimsuit coverups for the beach, so we'll see where I go from there, but I recently started making jewelry and I wanna start selling soon but I'm still thinking how I wanna go about it

The last 2 years have been rocky but I actually love my job. It started off with my working every Saturday but the other woman I work with didn’t want alternate weekends off, so now I get every weekend off and work 9 to 5. It can be tiring, especially since January where I’ve been training to be promoted, but hopefully I pass my exam on Thursday and I’ll be a qualified HCA, and all my hard work will pay off. I can’t wait. Also it’s nice to have a job where you feel wanted and appreciated.

I love working with people, yet I hate customer service. Lol

What's an HCA?

It's nice having a job you love isnt it?

And yeah, knowing the residents I assist appreciate my role and what I do for them is rewarding. Fuck food and customer service. Lol

I am so excited to quit my job in just a few weeks and go back to school, I love my current job but I feel like it's bad for me in the long run.

Hear care assistant, basically the first level of audiologist, I can do hearing tests, fit hearing aids etc, there’s just certain parts of the job I’m not qualified for.

I used to be in retail customer service and honestly I’m so glad I got out of that, treated like dirt for minimum wage? No thank u

Ah in us we have what's called a pca (personal care attendant) and it requires no schooling or training. It's just helping bathe, feed and dress disabled people, you can't give out meds or do vitals or anything medical like that, that requires certifications

That's way different than what I was thinking lol

Ugh I don't make that much (like $8.50 above min wage) but at least I love what I do. Retail... yeah fuck that, meaningless work for meaningless pay and you serve shitty ppl that automation could serve just as well (if not better)

I volunteered to work in another group home for a few hours tomorrow, which will be interesting.

I adore the home I was assigned to work in and think it's the perfect fit for me.

However there are 7 others, so this will be an interesting way to get variety, without feeling like I'm abandoning the residents I serve

One of the saddest things about the work I do is knowing how many people have bounced in and out of their lives

I do want a taste of the other homes tho to see what they're like
Ok I'm just looking after one of them because the other decided to go to the circus

I'm just chilling in a nonverbal mans room waiting for dishes to dry so I have something to do

This wasnt exciting lol

I wanna watch the simpsons I'm bored

I didn't get the job...again....
It was a bookstore this time. I think it's because I wrote  a really honest cover letter. I should start lying.
