I'd have done it same, I can confirm bad move. But also don't accept that sort of treatment!
And if he doesn't react well to the paragraph, you've got your answer tbf

I try my best not to accept bad or weird treatment but it makes me very quick to cut a man out and ik i won't ever have a real relationship by doing that fghbdjnskm. but accept tom foolery is a big no.

I feel like you do as well. As soon as it is about someone not really wanting to be assed to answer, then I know they just aren't interested from the get go, or they have someone else they are more interested in...

Gas station people are trash though.. My friend who used to work at one, had to make up a fake boyfriend to get rid of people, and that fake boyfriend ended up being one of our common friends (they aren't in a relationship, it were just pretend because people are annoying and don't understand nos)
