Night had settled long before she crept under her duvet, dragged her laptop to her lap, and logged onto virtualpopstar. It wasn't that she loved the game anymore, it had its twisted sides, but some parts of it - mostly her friends - had crept under her ribs tighter than she had expected or wanted to. Leaving was easier without attachments, she thought as she clicked herself to her wardrobe - just another thing she was attached to.
The bunny ears stood lined up in front of her. Black, white, pink, and even the green bunny hat she never remembered the designer of. She tossed the white ones to the side and stumbled over a pair of pink ears that had fallen to the ground before she put a pair of black, velvety ears on.
"Perfect," she whispered and twirled in the mirror, the black tulle of her dress coming to alive around her. "Perfecter."
