I mean yeah, everything plays a role in everything, like, if he was a black man a lot of people might not have believed him. Of course misogyny plays a roll in this, we live in a society.
yes i mean that's kind of the whole point i've been making
Yeah well I don't think that's the main issue with this case, is what I'm saying. The main issue is that this dude was abused, and the underlying issue is that a fuckton of men are abused, often by women, but we only hear about it when it's Johnny fucking Depp because patriarchy.
i mean i think this is more because johnny depp is famous

partly yes, but i also see that a lot of the most popular posts on reddit on the amber heard v johnny depp case are positive toward johnny depp, regardless of my personal circles. (the same goes for sienna mae). if i just do a quick reddit search i get all subreddits, not just the ones i'm subscribed to.
That the top pists support him instead of her doesn't necessarily have anything to do with misogony tho lmao
i'm just making a point about how it's not just my personal circles, but the general public's opinion
Yes obv its the general publics opinion that he is the victim, still doesn't have anything to do with misogyny.

i'm gonna repeat my point:

i want to believe the hate amber heard is getting is purely because she is a terrible person, and not also because she is a female terrible person. i _want_ to believe misogyny plays no part in people's hatred toward her, but i find it hard to believe that.

There are witnesses that are NOT that close to Johnny that SAID she did something to him, attacked him, and witnessed shit

Amber's witnesses are really close people that are biased towards her and you can see it with how aggressive they get and will get as we see more get on the stand.

SHE HERSELF admitted to hitting him "I hit you, I did not punch you", she just shat on him in too many convos and conversations, hell that woman shit in his damn bed.

The majority of the public can clearly see that this is no  "woman moment" but it is Amber being a volatile human being that is not treated and a danger to others, hell a danger to herself as well, she might've just ruined her career and life with all this shit she pulled, and while it is a happy thought that people would not tie misogyny, they would, but the majority would not.

No, how often do u hear abt any man being abused by a woman, compared to women being abused by men. Men don't tell anyone this stuff usually because they know they will be looked down upon or not believed, even more so than women imo

yeah i mean obviously i loathe her for that. but i also find it worrying that they are trying to paint johnny depp as this innocent person who didn't do anything. if we just look at this texts about wanting to rape amber heard, that is concerning to me. johnny depp can be the victim of abuse but i also don't like that he's holified here.

this is true. this is also partly because of the shame they will receive largely from other men. women too, but very much so other men.

im not finna debate u guys but i do believe her testimony and i think its really scary that a woman can win a restraining order against a man and then be sued by him for defamation. that's not good precedent for abuse victims of any gender. if you win your restraining order in court WHICH SHE DID you need to be allowed to discuss what happened to you without reprecussion for it. like does this shit mean my sister can be sued by the guy she got a RO against for her metoo posts on facebook? going to court like that would be retraumatizing for her and it makes me sick to think thats possible.

All I've observed is that Heard's lawyers suck.  Their questions are bad even for untrained ears.
Depp has the most likeable presentation in the court room (biased), and I literally don't even know who Heard was before this. What happened, who the fuck knows. Like I'm not gonna speculate on the stuff I know nothing about, but yeah this is a defamation case after all so yolo wishing everyone well.

I dont think its shame, but the feel that they are not going to believe him. Both men and women.

i also think the result of this trial sets a dangerous precedent for abuse cases. esp since US law very much relies on results from previous cases to pass judgement.
