Earlier this week I was talking about she seemed to live forever, so this was quite unexpected.
Honestly all this year I've mentioned to my family like it's a matter of time it's any second now like for months I have had this feeling that I need to check the news because she's probably dead so imo it was very expected

I wonder how Britain is going to change now. That is interesting.

I somehow managed to get royalgram in my insta feed and they were speculating for a while now because she lost a lot of weight and didn't seem to do very well for over 2 years now
I mean, she was 96, for most people that basically means savouring every day they wake up again
I really don't understand how people are surprised at someone at that age passing away
she's not immortal, even she can't fight death
it had to end sometime and given her progressed age, it was a matter of time that got more probable with every day she continued living

this really makes me hate how we treat death in our society
like ... come on, it's going to happen to everyone of us and while it hurts those who love the deceased dearly, it's nothing anyone can prevent. we have to face that it's all around us and that it's going to be the way all of us are going to go. At some point you have to stop thinking about someone living a long life and starting to hope they'll have a peaceful death

no, genuinely, this is exactly the time to say that
criticising monarchy isn't bad talking the Queen
yea imo this is the best time to talk about this like yall can stop this shit from continueing it. she could be your last queen ever and like would that not be an even cooler legacy if shes someone you admire.
!!!
go out with a bang
there's this saying in German
Lieber ein Ende mit Schrecken als ein Schrecken ohne Ende, which roughly translates to rather finish it of abruptly than have it be ongoing terror (or well, that's what it's meant to say)
Good saying

Changed national anthem, changed money, changed this and that and probably discussions on whether the monarchy at all should remain

Some countries will likely stop having the British monarch as their head of state and when they do that they're going to change their flags as well which is the most exciting thing imo.

That was about time, I think. I wonder if Australia will change theirs.

Australia has been vocal in the past in desiring to stop having a monarch as their head of state toying with the idea of doing this when the queen died.
New Zealand has had multiple debates and shit about it and it's not completely unlikely they will have a silver fern? on a black flag or something like that as their flag if they stop being under the British monarchy

I'm wondering though, with all tied to the Commonwealth - there are a whole bunch of nations who economically speaking profit off of it. And if they maybe would change the concept of it over the next years (like with how the EU was different in the beginnings before it became the EU, you know what I mean?)

It’s weird to say we now have a king here in the UK and one not many people are a fan off xx
its weird that there are kings or queens in the year of our lord 2022 like you really pay taxes so some inbred family can keep living in a castle that shit is wild
True, but I love all
the pomp and circumstance
that goes along with
the weddings and other various celebrations
especially since the closest thing
to royalty in the US
is the Kennedy clan
and the Obama family.

Age aside, not really surprised
by her passing and I didn’t expect
her to last as long as she did
without her husband
