I get anxious if there is too many flavours in food... Fast food is it's own category, but like... I usually use max five ingredients (max three different vegetables which all are "good pairs" in my head, one carb and one protein) +oil, salt, pepper +max five different spices (which also are ready categorized in my head to use with specific foods)
It makes me so freaking anxious when my bf cooks... Once he put couscous AND pasta to same pot... And once he made eggs for us and there were so many flawours... He had also put vegan cheese and mushrooms which he had also seasoned and yeah, it were good but also made me anxious because I had no idea what there were going on +i have specific spices to use with eggs. When I were kid i felt so much anxiety when we had soup at my dads place and there were so many ingredients i did'nt knew and all were so tiny pieces that it would have been so hard to eat one thing at time so I ate different things at same spoonfulls... After it I can still usually do it but it were so awful.
My usual order to eat things from chicken-less soup: 1st carrots 2nd most of the corn 3rd most of the potato 4th most of the tofu 5th one broccoli 6th corn 7th potato 8th tofu 9th broccoli
bruuuuuh that's crazy but I get it hehe I personally think the more the better cuz my tastebuds suck lol that's soooo interesting tho wow does it like root from a trauma or something?
I think it's just that I taste too well or something? Idk, I can also eat foods without salt easily. I had lastwinter episode when I mostly used non-salted garlic powder and not salt because i feel like mostly they taste just same? And my roommates were like... no... this tastes like it has garlic powder and no salt... I have some kind of sensory defensiveness and adhd and synesthesia so i think that is the combination why having too many flavours in food makes me anxious?
