ah yeah i really should try changing it, but... just hard when the name means so much to family. maybe i need to have a conversation with my mum about it, cause even though i've never loved my name, i've also never dared bring it up with my family 

that i can very much relate to! i love learning about names and their meanings and origins

i'm not vibing with having an unfortunate adjective as surname so it doesn't work in norway so i have to suffer with special character surname instead

But as for Solveig and Helene, can't you just like change the order of them? And then use Helene, but still keep Solveig? Or do like people seem to do in Sweden. They would officially be called Solveig Helene in that order, but somehow use Helene as like their given name.
