antipsychotics have a lot, a LOT of side effects which can be severe and some can be permanent. they're very heavy medications and even when used in small doses patients usually still get significant side effects. most of them can cause significant weight gain and diabetes even.

when used to treat schizophrenia, antipsychotics have been linked to a decrease in brain volume. (link) even if the doses used to treat anxiety or insomnia are very small (though sometimes they're not, as with insomnia especially you can develop a tolerance and need higher doses for it to work, so some patients end up taking amounts meant for psychosis for their insomnia), i still think it's worrisome that medications that have these effects are used when there are many alternatives with no side effects like these.

It’s everskies that felt they were superior/had the moral high ground, not vp. ES needed to be taken down a notch.
