Its like being referred to as a ciswoman all the time you know?
yea why would that bother me. i don't get it. that's an objective reality and not any kind of assignment of good or bad.
Cause people want to be referred to by more then their gender identity
i think i'd need brunhilde to explain their point tbh. like are people just saying this out of nowhere in some wierd like insulting way or is this this being used to describe them in scenarios where it makes sense to mention it. because it doesnt bother me if someone accurately descsribes me as cis in a conversation where that information would be pertinent. but i guess it would be weird iff people were like constantly saying it for no reason? idk the original statement "as trans i don't like being called trans" just didn't make sense to me. like they're even calling themself trans in that statement so theyre clearly ok to call themself trans so why should it bother them if someone else describes them as trans. maybe theres a language barrier here.

as trans i fucking hate being called trans, and i'm sure many others feel the same way
we are humans too, don't treat us like we're below you - likely out of all people confused about genders, it's the people who don't identify as their assigned sex. stop worrying about us and just respect us like any other person thanks (or don't, if that's your thing fr)
that doesnt make sense unless you think being trans is negative or bad trait. i don't understand this.
the way you're wording this sounds like you think being trans is a choice, but i digress

i absolutely loathe being seen as "trans" rather than the gender i identify as - though i highly prefer if one would just stop referring to people by gender and use their name instead, would save a lot of time and tears

sexism isn't limited on men hating women or vise versa - if you see us as our gender over our entire being then you're stuck in the same problem as people in traditional, hella sexist times

because society forces us to make a big point about it, only seeing us as genders rather than people

what i don't see how it seems that i said anything about a choice at all??? it's just part of who you are and it's not a negative thing so it shouldnt feel bad to say it.

wow i'm late but it literally just means someone has an alignment to womanhood, gender is an extremely broad thing and not as rigid as people often assume. just because someone is nonbinary doesn't mean they automatically don't feel gender at all.

like an afab nonminary person can still be seen as a woman, experience misogyny, and generally experience the world the way a "woman" does, and for some nonbinary people that is what makes them feel alignment to womanhood.

I'm a nonbinary lesbian, although I typically just use gay. Kit explained it nicely. I don't want to argue about this, but for the love of god, just let trans people be

can i just say a lot of you guys are being real aggresive to OP who clearly came at this from a good place lol

like if you can't ask questions like this then you can't ask questions at all. this was super polite and so clearly from a place of trying to understand.
