ah that's what I understood, but I get you.

yeah
but it means that in most discourses about sexuality, I get told that I don't have value because asexuality apparently doesn't exist and all it's quite fun (it's actually sad, but I have enough stuff in my life to cry about, so I'm not gonna cry about this)
tf? i will never understand how someone can try to erase a whole sexuality, or I guess lack-thereof? because they don't understand it. people really expect everyone to identify as gay or straight n that's it

well, I mean, people are really vocal about the issue of bi-erasure and along the lines asexual-erasure came along
also, there's a bunch of people who say that hte lgbtq+ movement is about sexual liberation and as an asexual person you can't have that, thus you're not valid for the movement. there's a very big divide in the community about this. actually, a big chunk of the lgbtq+ community is very discriminating, spiteful and masters at gatekeeping and don't actually want equality and acceptance, they just want a platform and they give the whole movement and its actual meaning a very bad name

I'm sorry it's the truth, people who need to identify with and label everything they do and like and in general associate with. Please.. Get help. It's not healthy.

I get that, but that makes me wonder if people really be like "I'm such a "whatever asthetic" person, it is all who I am"?

(and then I remember someone on [redacted] saying that their transexuality was all there was about them and that they didn't have any hobbies or likes like favourite food or colour and just cared about their transexuality and that's all they can ever be and now I'm desperately hoping that's just some wanna-be-edgy troll and not how people nowadays really act like, because dammit, how utterly sad and joyless must your life be, if you are reduced to one single thing and can't have anything beside that to actually be a complex human being)
I think it's very sad

right? I said so, but by then I already had the tag of being a transphobic asshole (which I already had the second I said I was a cis-female ... which makes me think it really was more of a troll, because cis is just the counterpart to trans, like day and night, but apparently people don't seem to know that when they're 14 and looking for internet likes)

I would never reduce myself to my sexuality or gender, it's utterly pathetic.

right? I mean, I sometimes reduce myself to liking musicals, but ... that's because I'm stupid and musicals is what gives me joy when I'm in a dump, but even I know I'm more complex than that (and I'm very non complex :d)
