in my experience theres a shitload of openly, unapologetic, violently racist ppl on this site, so ur for sure going to hear their ignorant, flawed arguments a hell of a lot more here, but that doesnt mean theyre right
most of them just want sth to hold over those "mean pocs" head or an excuse to play the victim when it comes to matters of race so they dont have to deal w/ their white guilt or god forbid, admitting that like anyone else raised in a racist society, theyre racist too and have to put in work to unlearn it

i'd argue yes it's "racist" by pure definition but i think the point most people are getting at when saying you can't be racist against white people is that language is usually way more than the dictionary definition

not that non systemic racism isn't "valid" but that it like, doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things

if someone says white people have thin lips like, ok, it might be rude but no one's dying or losing a job or what have you

whereas a similar "discriminatory" statement against a historically oppressed person sort of calls back to and reinforces a tradition of oppression in a way that a comment against white people would not

and so when people press back against someone calling a comment like that against white people "racist" it's not so much about the statement not being discriminatory but about that never really being the point of what anyone's talking about when they talk about racism (except for people who let idpol consume their brains and purely focus on microaggressions) but that when most people are discussing racism it's about the larger system, like it's just a stand in term for saying systemic racism

does that make any sense at all
