Y'know I think a lot about how historically women have used sex to gain anything resembling financial independence or position in society

and it's kinda sad that it's still a borderline necessity today - fuckin' wow lol

but also I ain't gonna judge women who partake, we're all trying to navigate this capitalist hellscape the best we can

also are we just defining sex work as sex and porn?
see thats a whole other interesting conversation how do we define sex work.
like hooters is kinda sex work
I would agree with that

but yeah my absolute worst take that will have me lynched by the feminist mob is that i think hijabs are indeed sexist and i could never get behind the idea that you 1. have to cover up for ur faith and 2. only women have to cover up like that's inherently sexist to me no matter how to sugar coat it for me im sorry

this also ties into organized religion and how i think that islam is just a really bad example of how culture and organized religion can go wrongtbh
Religion nowadays, at least the one that we see from different religions, is trash.
anything that was beautiful and respecting about it has gone out of the window and was made this tool to have power and control over people.
and yes it is one example for that

that DOESNT mean i agree w france and belgium banning it bc that is also telling women how to dress and it's NEVER on the individual but yeah im sorry it's not empowering or "a choice" to me

it's interesting cause i think yes help the refugees but also an incontrolled intake of more ppl only leads to bad living conditions for them cause which government has money and place for all of them lol we're literally sinking in internal problems BUT yeah training and making sure they dont end up in cycles of impoverty which also makes them more prone to terrorist recruitmentp
Helping them get jobs (or making it a requirement to get a job to live here), language courses, mixing up the locations of where u put ppl, proper training in norwegian (american here tho) culture and values, is the most important stuff imo. Good immigration is vital, cus u often see, at least here, more refugees are misogynistic, homophobic, gang violence (amongst youth in places which r dominated by refugees), live on welfare, etc etc compared to ppl who are born here.

I don't have any issue taking in immigrants, but if ur not gonna integrate them properly, I would rather just take in none
its so messed up bc countries want the gold stars for taking in immigrants but neglect to integrate them properly. then these immigrants grow up to be "bad examples" so inhabitants are like fuck no no more immigrants aaaaa
Yes we have this saying, swedish conditions (? Svenske tilstander) which usually refers to how in sweden its gone off the rails too much w foreigners criminality etc (idk im struggling to write this in english but). And how we in norway do not want that. But I think ppl r also just scared to seem racist or islamophobic if u start questioning the values of these ppl. Like with the couses in not being a misogynist n stuff. I would figure many ppl, esp on the internet, would think its islamophobic cus it kinda makes it seem like "everyone from an islamic country is a woman hater bad bad bad", but I think its just good to take precautions, even tho the majority of the men might not be like that, it still seems statistically worse than norwegian born people.

I stand behind it as well and if men won't do that women shouldn't as well and nothing can change my mind.
women that actually BELIEVE that they need to do it for durr hurr religion, are just brainwashed enough and were fed that from childhood, ofc they won't change their opinion about that, that's all they know.

I believe that once those women get the freedom to actually... LIVE however they'd like? with no actual parents or partner that would make it so they feel someone above em that makes it that they HAVE to do that... yeah

it's really hard yeah bc just w the "omg ur a slutshamer" when u say ur antiporn-industry, it's the same with "omg ur islamophobic" when u say u want to regulate immigration. and i CANT blame them bc a lot of racists/sexists do use these arguments as dogwhistles but if u start talking abt this stuff u always spend more time defending urself than actually explaining ur point it's frustratinf

I'm really conflicted about hijab. Like, niqab and burka? Fuck that shit, absolute worst. But things like hijab and tichel, I don't know what to think. It's often times more cultural than religious, which means it's a choice a woman makes, but then that goes into the whole is there such thing as choice when it comes to something oppressively and then we have to actually ask if it is oppressively so it really just goes in circles.

Oh yeah I don't remember who it was, but its been proposed here to ban hijabs (niqabs are already banned I think for all type of education) in kindergarten and children school (1-7th grade). And I think when girls are that young, I can stand behind banning it tbh. Not for older girls 8th grade + (15+) but when its actual children? Aj,, freedom to practice religion or whatever, but..

I find it very strange when children wear hijab, not gonna lie. I see it as a very adult decision, maybe because I associate head covering with tichel.
