hi!
ive been on the same one, and actually had a pretty painless experience.
other than extremely dry skin i didnt have any side effects, and i am still very happy with my result <33
feel free to ask any questions you might have!
When you say “extremely dry skin” what are we talking? Like is putting makeup on gonna be a bitch cause my skin just peels off? And how were your lips? My lips were a bitch before this, and I’m kinda afraid they’re gonna be so dry and cracked that I cannot kiss anyone
i personally couldnt wear makeup bc my skin peeled around my nose and the corners of my mouth. i used a really thick and effective lip balm every day and still do, and havent had any problems with my lips

How far into treatment, did it begin to have an effect on you?

That’s what I’m on! Didn’t you have to have blood tests taken?
o yea every month
side effects were absolutely brutal too not even gonna pretend it wasnt awful but by god if my skin wasnt absolutely flawless afterwards

its been four years since i finished the cure now i think? and i only get acne n shit if i actually do something to cause it now like not wash my face or sleep in makeup. worth it
How many pills did you have to take a day? And what side effects are we talking about?
i think it was just one? i was on a 6 month cure

and uhh, essentially all of them except like liver failure
dryness everywhere, skin infections, pains all over the body, especially back,  anxiety/depression got real bad, woke up in a pool of my own blood every day bc of the nosebleeds, headaches, light sensitivity and horrible dark vision, my face got bright red. they came and went like i didnt have all of them the whole time (except the horrendously dry skin and nose bleeds) but i didnt have a good time at all

it was worth it tho teen me really didnt need to worry their ass off about acne on top of everything else

I haven’t prior had any problems with mental health at all, so I’m not really worried in that department. However I did use to have problems with nosebleeds. I’m supposed to take 1 pill every day for the first 14 days, then move it up to two. Are u sure you only took 1? Do u think it would’ve been a different experience if you hadn’t been a teen? I’m 21, almost 22..

dry skin started showing after probably three weeks to a month, but wasnt at its worst for another few months. as for my acne i started seeing improvement after around two-three months, but that was very minimal, it did however really start working in month four! your experience might be different to mine, i can see youre supposed to take two pills a day, i only took one for the entirety of my treatment

Yeah I’m worried about that now. I have a need to actually call my dermatologist and make sure I’m supposed to take 2, cause now it seems like a lot

if you're unsure then call! i always recommend asking all the questions you have instead of staying quiet, just in case anything is amiss <33

Right? What kind of acne did you have? I have more of a cystic acne, and therefore not the common kind of acne people think about when they think about acne

yea ive had problems with nosebleeds too most of my life. from the meds its a result of all the dryness, the inside of the nose dries up and just cracks open every once in a while. my dr just told me to literally put vaseline on a qtip and shove it up my nose every morning and night and it helped a bit i think, ouf

pretty sure i did, but its been years, i cant even remember what the pills looked like at this point beyond "uncomfortably large"
but ive always been prone to getting sick and side effects and i was unluckier than most ofther ppl ive known who went on them so i wouldnt be that worried. and even if it does get that bad, id still do it again honestly. it was worth it

Mine are these tiny little capsules? Maybe that’s why I have to take two?

that might be why youre supposed to take two pills, i did not have cystic acne, but i know a friend who had, and also took the medication, she mightve done two pills, but i dont actually know.

not that large, i would say like a pain killer size, they were like a deep red colour and shaped like a tiny american football

Yup, those are the ones I’m taking too. I hope I can contact my dermatologist Monday and ask, but with all this Corona I have no idea if it’s possible for me to do

try! if not call a doctor and ask for advice, they must know something, or will be able to look up the information on the pills in their medication database
