please, my dentist must think me an utter trainwreck, I cried like a baby because I forgot to warn him about my fear of needles and he showed me that thing instead of warning me and then I spat water all over the front of my pants when I had to swish because my whole upper lip was numb and I couldn't feel if I had my mouth closed or not, so I then helped them dry the chair (I was mortified)

Last time I went to the dentist a few months ago I forgot that drills were a thing and she was taking care of a cavity and the WORST sound in the world is metal against ANYTHING, and I was stuck with that sound in my head for like 5 minutes and smelling and TASTING my TOOTH.

I honestly don't mind that, I'm not even afraid of it (might be because I had my first cavity at age 23, you can kinda rationalize it more then). I just don't want to have to deal with needles. But the taste of blood afterwards is a tad nauseating, especially if I haven't eaten yet and then still have to wait an hour or so for the filling to solidify completely
