i think the reasons as to why self harm discussions arent rly allowed are pretty obvious and self evident
because it can motivate susceptible young people to do the same? or because it's not healthy? both of those apply to alcohol abuse as well but that's all well and good on here
alcohol abuse is viewed as self harm in recovery literature so im w u on this one

honestly agreed here too i don't know what really counts as glorifying or not but i think the real answer is alcoholism is just very normalized whereas other addictions aren't

alcohol, and even some drugs (psychedelics, "study drugs", coke, etc) walk a fine line between "just partyin' in ur 20s" and "oh fuck i have a problem" alcohol companies fuckin' know this too, and capitalize on young ppl not being able to spot the difference.
