Cipralex/Lexapro literally changed my life. Made it bearable in a way I didn't think I could achieve with meds

For me it helps with depression, ocd, anxiety and lessens intensity of my mood swings as result too

I’ve had issues w insomnia n depression at the same time but I can still tell u that even tho my insomnia is shit I still have less anxiety because of my meds, I have 175mg sertralin and it’s such a life saver, not all meds make u more sleepy, depends on the medicine I guess
hmm yea i guess so
a psychiatrist recently wanted to give me some meds (venlafaxine) and one of the common side effects were fatigue and drowsiness and i just,,, dont want that
im on venlafaxine and it does not make me fatigued

Right now I'm on citalopram and lamotrigin for depression and anxiety (although I definitely need a higher dose of the latter) and it's helped me a lot. The worst of my anxiety is completely gone and my depression has gotten a lot better as well. I understand that it's scary, but I'm personally so for people taking medication, although I understand it's not for everyone etc. etc. It's such a small thing that can take away the worst parts

honestly moclobemide (600mg) has been a lifesaver for me and my depwession (doesn't really help with my anxiety even though they are marketed towards treating social anxiety too but the effects are non-existent for me)
obviously they aren't happy pills and won't cure me on their own but they've made me almost a functioning human being lmao

i got too many side effects from escitalopram with basically no benefits (especially after upping the dosage to its fullest) but moclobemide just makes my mouth dry which is almost not an issue compared to ssris' side effects (fatigue, brain fog, increased appetite (which can be a good side effect to some but i'm already overweight) and so on)

occasionally i take benzos for night-time anxiety and sleeplessness and i have nothing bad to say about them cuz i fall asleep as soon as they hit me
