I had to take the bus to school in high school and i didnt rly mind it. It wasnt a long ride tho, only 20 minutes at most and the school gives u a bus card for free if u dont live within walking distance from the school. But i get that its different if u have to take like an hour (or more) long ride to get to school everyday, like thats way more of an inconvenience than just having to take one 15 minute bus ride into town.

i remember a girl in my class had to take the train for like almost 2 hours just to get there everyday and another guy in my class lived like an hour away from school in the middle of nowhere where there was only like 3 buses that traveled in his line a day. At least i was lucky enough to live close enough that there was one bus going into town every hour
i am a district girl, so ppl having to take the bus was the norm rather than not. when they were 16 they got their tractor license n were able to take the tractor to school... but yeah, there were ppl in my class who had to take the bus for an hour.

some of them ended up getting a small flat closer to the school. i suppose that is normal in rural norway but idk how it is in sweden
Lmao the tractor thing omg ive never seen someone riding a tractor to school. Where i live the kids got moped licenses when they were 15 and then just regular drivers license once they turned 18. Driving a tractor to school sounds more badass than driving a little moped tho like thats such a vibe.

and yeah its very uncommon to have ur own flat/not living with ur parents at 16-18 here in sweden. Thats more like something u do in university here, not high school. Unless u go to like a boarding school where u live in dorms at the school but thats in the minority. Ive heard that high school kids do that in norway tho but i thought it was only like rich kids in oslo who did that so its kinda cool to hear that its done in the rural parts too
lmfao most people here take their mini tractor cars ( idk if they meant these ones ) but in my school there was a dude who lived on the country n he would literally take his tractor to school

yeah i think some ppl in oslo do it because its a big city n u may end up at a high school on the other side of the city and commuting could quickly be 1-1 1/2 hour. but i suppose its even more normal in rural norway than in oslo, because if the closest high school is 3 hours away the only thing u can do is get a hybel.

this came off like its the classes i take that are the problem but what i really mean is that id probably feel better getting that variety of teachers, not having to deal with the same teachers over and over again in all of my many classes, its not even only because they're straight up bad or the opposite of motivating its also that there will always be one teacher who's a bit better and more understanding than the other.
