I can’t recall ever seeing my dad cry
but I could see the pain in his face
whenever he was upset.

The only time i really remember my mom crying, was when i gave her card on mothers day, when i was a teenager. Tears of joy of cause, if she have cried because me otherwise, it's not something i know off.
I don’t mind being the source of those tears
when it involves joy
but when it’s from anger/frustration/disappointment
there’s no worse feeling imo
Totally agree, I have had a couple heated arguments with my mother in the past, but thankfully they were rare and far apart. On the other hand I also always came back to her to get the support i needed after the argument, because the arguments usually was related to my mental health at the point.
It for sure makes it worse, if you are close with your parent, it just hurts that much more.

I could picture that, sometimes you can also tell on their actions and/or attitude!

No, my parents literally show no emotions. They are the type to not say they love you or are proud of you...ever.
Were they raised that way / are your grandparents the same?
No disrespect to your parents but kids need that.
maybe they think you might get a big ego
so they brag about you to their friends 🤷🏾‍♀️

whatever the reasoning
I’m proud of you
because you still turned into
a bad bitch❤️

Lmao because I would be that parent too

If my kid was 30 min over curfew
the police, fbi, cia, social media
everyone and their mama
would be contacted
while I print, “have you seen me” flyers 🤣

bc he used to make my sister (who was 5-6 around the time so it's only natural to be upset if your caretaker tells you you're worthless etc) cry and then make fun of her and laugh at her for being "weak". so i verbally abused him until he broke down, called him pathetic and never talked to him again
