Like I am going to my mums this year (along with my gran & bf, neither of whom want to go and have talked about trying to get out of it). & now she wants me there on Christmas eve as well but my bf's mates are having a party which I want to attend. When I mentioned it she threw a strop so who knows.

Maybe one year we will both speak up for ourselves aha but my only suggestion is maybe drop hints early on next year that you just want to celebrate at home and be chill

brrr yeah I just bvfhgbfhg I can't get myself to cancel when I've alr told I'm coming u know?++ but yeah no I'll prob do what Nesta advised with like offering to meet up some other time around christmas next year heh

But yesss u should deffo attend that Christmas eve party, especially considering you've already told her that you want to!! I hope that will be good fun at least, mayble it'll maybe take focus away from the day at ur mums heh
