been a while since i had to think about piercing care but iirc don't take jewelry out if you suspect an infection u could trap it
i think it's also just generally bad to mess with the jewelry in a fresh piercing bc it will irritate it, putting it back in might rly suck /:
when i had my lip pierced i boiled water and salt let it cool and then stuck the piercing in it for a while, maybe not as good as buying proper saltwater but it worked
most sites I came across were like take the earrings out, and clean it. I didn't do it at first because I don't want the hole to close lol. but the earring started to really hurt my ear like it felt extremely tight and I couldn't even move it if I wanted to. it was extremely difficult to take it off, and the pain of the tightness(?) I felt earlier is gone so I think I had to take it off? I'm not surebeen a while since i had to think about piercing care but iirc don't take jewelry out if you suspect an infection u could trap it
