Have you read all the books on your shelf? If not: 50%, 70%, 90%?

tbh nesta, i haven’t read any books this year 🥲 i have a small list with book names that i should start reading them
start when you have the space or maybe when you notice you keep telling yourself "no, next time" for the fourth time that day. some books just gotta ripen before you meet them at what feels like the right time and that's okay! : )
the bad thing might be, when I actually have a little space of “freedom” I use it on playing games with friends D: so I keep forgetting that I should read books instead urg

Omg I'm always down for book talk!
(I deleted some of the questions I didn't have an answer to though )

Tell me which releases you are excited for this year? I have been really excited about House of Sky and Breath, that's out now and I'm currently reading it! I'm also looking forward to some sequels, especially The Dragon's Promise by Elizabeth Lim and The Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber

Tell me if you have any fave accounts to follow for bookish content on any platform? I have an account dedicated to following book accounts on Instagram haha, most of them are German though

Tell me what makes you love reading? I love being able to completely dive into a different world (I pretty much only read fantasy) and it's crazy what complex worlds these authors come up with!

Tell me what you're currently reading? I just finished The Iron Sword by Julie Kagawa last night, it was amazing and like the last few pages were just so action packed! And I'm also reading House of Sky and Breath (ofc) and I was also reading These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong but paused it when The Iron Sword and HOSAB came out :d And I'm listening to Trust Again by Mona Kasten, a German author

What genres and demographics appeal to you? I definitely read fantasy the most, usually YA fantasy but I also don't mind older characters. I've also started reading a bit more of NA romance lately but I don't think I'll ever love it as much as fantasy, while the stories are usually nice and sweet I just feel like every book is kinda the same

And which do not? erotic stuff like Fifty Shades of Gray haha

Share a quote from a book that resonated with you? "Adeline had wanted to be a tree. To grow wild and deep, belong to no one but the ground beneath her feet, and the sky above, just like Estele. It would be an unconventional life, and perhaps a little lonely, but at least it would be hers. She would belong to no one but herself."  from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab, I really love how she wants to be independent and do her own stuff and see the world bcs that's literally me

Share your favorite book-to-screen adaption? I think Shadow and Bone was actually really well made and close to the book but I also made the mistake to watch the series first and then read the book bcs I wasn't planning on reading the books at first but I'll never watch a movie or series first again

If you could get an ARC (early copy) of any book, which would you pick\have picked? Anything from the Crescent City books by Sarah J. Maas or the new book from my favorite German author Anna Benning!

Show me the most beautiful book cover you know?
Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim has such a beautiful cover but the Fairyloot edition is just the prettiest book I've ever seen (unfortunately I don't own it )

This one's the original UK cover, it's really beautiful, too but doesn't have all those fancy extra details

Which is a book that haunts you? The Crown Between Us by Ada Bailey is a German duology but it was so so bad and I hated the main character and the story was just really weird, it's supposed to be NA romance kinda but it was boring and somehow went into a mystery/thriller direction?? so weird

What is a book you which you wish you have read but likely never will? Classics like Jane Austen and Virgina Woolf, they sound nice but I have such a hard time reading "older" language and I'll probably get bored with those stories

When was the last time you cover bought a book? Pretty much every time lol.

Have you read all the books on your shelf? If not: 50%, 70%, 90%? Hahaha no. But I'm working on it. Most of my books are at my parents' house but I have 20 physical books at my student apartment and I still have to read 12 of them haha. (and we won't talk about the 50+ unread ebooks on my ereader )

What is your preferred format? I love having physical books in my shelf but only hardcovers, I don't really like paperbacks. But for reading I actually prefer the ereader bcs I can also read from my phone when I'm on the go and it's so much easier to read at night which I do a lot

A book you wish to read in the future? All the books on my shelf and my ereader that I haven't read yet

Share your favorite book-to-screen adaption? Ooo, the handmaids tale got to be it. But I were also okay with Normal people by salley rooney, thought they skipped around a bit.
If you could get an ARC (early copy) of any book, which would you pick\have picked? Mmm, i would probably pick a Salley Rooney book, I'm not aware of any upcoming releases other than the first commented.
Show me the most beautiful book cover you know?
I'm just gonna pick from those i own. This ones are blue on the side of the pages and it's blue/gold marbled on the front and pack page. It generally also got beautiful details to the pages inside.

Have you read all the books on your shelf? If not: 50%, 70%, 90%? I read 19, im reading 2 and i got 42 books. So that would be about 50%
A book you wish to read in the future?
