i know for some its a religious/spiritual thing like reincarnation/spirit animals/etc
theres also ppl with DID who have alters who arent human which makes sense, &Â i think theres delusional disorders &Â stuff that make someone believe theyre not human &Â its dangerous to tell them they are like a therapist can talk them through it if its causing harm but if its not then its left alone cos, well its not hurting anyone, but telling them theyre human can cause panic attacks & psychotic episodes &Â stuff
so yeah idk a LOT abt it but if its not hurting anyone i dont see why it cant just be respected but thats just my 2 cents ig

thats not the case afaik in some situations though. like ppl with DID can have alters that arent human, for e.g. i only learned recently some alters can be literal animals & stuff
brains are so fucking complicated
its also religious for some (like if their belief is theyre a reincarnated animal soul in a human body)Â so i dont see the harm in just respecting that as long as its not hurting anyone yk?
