It was actually pretty quick. I just listened to music and talked with my sister (we went together) and afterwards they had some good snacks. Honestly not bad at all, would recommend.

it depends on the amount! If you are anemic you typically can't though.

you can just take a blood test. either professionally or at home ones.
blood is typically hereditary too if you know your parents' blood type (you can't always tell the pattern though)
